About Us

Knitted Knockers History

In 2007, after a personal experience with breast cancer, Chesley Flotten of The knitting Experience cafe in the USA began a unique charity knitting program, Knitted Knockers, to provide soft, comfortable and also free knitted prosthetic breasts for breast cancer survivors.

Knitted Knockers came to the UK in January 2014. There are now many groups all over the world providing knitted breast prostheses which are always free of charge. You can request your knockers by clicking here.

Midlands Crafters for Breast Cancer are dedicated to provide Knitted Knockers free of charge to women all over the UK. We also provide several items that are gifted to men and women facing surgery and chemotherapy treatments.

Chemo Hats, Support Cushions and Wash Cloths  are all distributed via support groups and centres.
